About Us

Mamabread is an anonymous user generated content site for users to gain the support they need for life’s daily activities. By posing the question "how are you doing?", users find support, express themselves, share struggles, vent, get understanding, and find encouragement. The name "mama" symbolizes a loving mom extending out to all users who need a place to get nurturing, encouragement, mentoring and support. Bread symbolizes life and satisfying the hunger in people to positively connect and be fulfilled. Along with our 'How Are You Doing?' platform, users can also discover the latest creative + positive content centered around daily living, accessories+style, art+architecture, design, food, paper+home, DIY projects+handmade, and positive news/causes.

Mamabread - an all volunteer group - started with founder Michelle Lee, a former Silicon Valley marketing veteran and iPhone/iPod global marketing manager for Apple, and a group of Gen Y volunteers who believe in a vision of using new media to encourage at a heart level while giving to social justice causes. As a social venture, Mamabread thinks and acts globally by producing hands-on creative activities and projects while partnering with organizations to fight modern day child poverty. Our handmade shop + brand, Love Mamabread, will launch in Summer 2011 to help fund creative projects to help our non-profit partners.
