My girlfriend hasn't had her period in 4 days. She says if she's pregnant, she will get an abortion right away. I don't know what to do.

Thanks everyone for the support. Her period was just late by 12 days.

The experience made me realize how important it is to be around friends and family who have values similar to mine.

I just read this now....Did you have any follow up to what happened? I think that is a terrible thing that father's don't always have rights. Do you have any thoughts to follow up?

man... that's rough. I've had different friends deal with abortion at various stages of life. I think the only thing I can encourage you with is to not beat yourself up too much.

Like so many things in life, there are things that are just beyond our control. I know it may seem like there is a possible scenario where you can take control of this situation but with your girlfriend as part of the decision process there really is little you can do, other than voice your position (whatever that may be).

In the end, life will go on. And how you continue is up to you. I'm not suggesting that you blow everything off. That would be cruel. Live, learn and grow... all the while we do our best to leave a positive mark on this world.

Hang in there things will get better if you let it.
